Anlun Zwerver

Anlun Zwerver is a dedicated tennis player who trains between 3.5 to 4.5 hours per week. In addition to this, he spends 2 hours per week playing practice matches and 1 hour focusing on his serving, weather permitting. During the winter period, his training schedule remains consistent, but he plans to increase his tournament participation starting in March, alongside the spring league matches. As his competition schedule increases, he expects his weekly training and match play hours to stay the same or slightly increase.

Anlun’s playing style is aggressive from the baseline, and his favorite shot is his forehand down the line, which he can execute with precision and power. This shot is a key part of his offensive strategy, allowing him to dictate points and transition to the net to finish points.

Currently, Anlun competes in regional tournaments to gain experience and improve his results. Some of his recent notable wins include:

• 5-7 6-4 6-1 win over Bart Verplanke (7.39 UTR)
• 6-2 6-2 win over Gerben Bouman (7.43 UTR)
• 5-7 6-0 6-1 win over Mitchell Henneke (7.27 UTR)

Academically, Anlun is still exploring his options for his master's degree. He is interested in finding a program that aligns with his academic and professional goals. Anlun graduated from the highest level of high school in the Netherlands with a 3.87 GPA and currently holds a 3.50 GPA in college.

Anlun hopes to continue developing his tennis game and take his skills to the next level while focusing on his academic and career ambitions. His main objective is to improve both physically and technically, with the goal of competing at a higher level in the future.
