Collard has been swimming competitively for several years, progressing from casual participation at ZZZ Dronten to full-time training with the regional team in Drachten. Over the years, he has achieved remarkable results, including multiple finals at Dutch Nationals and international competitions across Europe, as well as earning medals at regional championships and events like FISEC.

Collard is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the Netherlands across several challenging events, including the 100m and 200m butterfly, 400m and 1500m freestyle, and the 400m individual medley. These rankings represent significant improvements from previous seasons, where he was ranked 20th or lower. His dedication to improvement has been evident throughout his career, as he balanced demanding training schedules at multiple clubs and schools before fully committing to DZ&PC and the regional team.
