Ivar de Jong

Ivar de Jong brings a strong sense of passion and determination to football, consistently aiming to excel and lead by example. His big interest in the sport ensured a solid foundation for his development into a player known for his agility and strategic gameplay.

 During his younger years, Ivar participated in various sports, including soccer and basketball. However, it became clear that his true passion lays in football. His experience as a multi-sport athlete is evident in his impressive athleticism, especially for a kicker. Ivar has never had a kicking coach and taught himself how to kick, developing a strong leg that allows him to generate significant power behind the ball. He is committed to continuous improvement in this area. 

In his one year of American high school, Ivar successfully made two out of four field goals and converted 33 out of 38 points after touchdown. His team made it to the state championships finals, and Ivar was honored to be named Special Teams Player of the Year. Additionally, he earned Player of the Week honors multiple times, reflecting his impact on the field and his dedication to the sport. Ivar's journey showcases his determination and passion for football as he continues to strive for excellence. 

Academically, Ivar is diligent and disciplined, having graduated from a rigorous educational system. He understands the importance of balancing academics with athletics and is committed to maintaining a strong academic record as he pursues his sports career. As he embarks on his next chapter in the United States, Ivar aims to leverage both his athletic and academic pursuits for a successful college experience.
