Jip Zwaard

Level

Jip currently plays at one of the highest level possible in the youth Dutch competition (Voorrondes landelijk)  with Berkel en Rodenrijs U18-1. She is a true leader on the field. She is vocal on the field and coaches the rest of the team. With her team, she made it all the way to the Dutch National Championship tournament U16 last year at the Super B level. On top of that, she was allowed to play for the First Ladies team of Berken en Rodenrijs on multiple occasions. 

Playing Style

Jip is a fast center back who has great insight and keeps her composure on the ball. Her insight on the field allows her to create dangerous attacks from the back. Jip has a powerful aerial ball that she uses to make impactful plays when the situation demands. On top of that, she is creative on the ball and constantly surprises her opponents. Her variety in play keeps defenders on their toes and creates numerous scoring opportunities for her team. Moreover, Jip is known  for her great 1v1 defensive skills. Her timing and accurate steals make it difficult for her opposing attackers. She excels in both offensive and defensive transitions, making her a versatile player.

Academics

Jip is currently finishing her 5th year of VWO. She is expecting to graduate in June, 2025. She is interested in business related majors. She is really excited to play in the U.S. and wants to win championships with her new team starting in the Fall of 2025.
