Liene Duijn (2007) is a dynamic and energetic 5'8" setter from the Netherlands, looking for a college volleyball team to join in the fall of 2025. Liene plays for Spaarnestad Women's second team in the Third Division. She is currently enrolled in her last year of high school.
As a setter, Liene’s strengths lie in her speed and creativity. She thrives on surprising opponents with quick, varied plays, especially in coordination with her middle blockers. Her ability to keep the game unpredictable is a key asset for her team, and her positive, supportive attitude is always on display as she cheers on her teammates.
Liene is committed to improving her consistency, particularly in her sets to the outside hitters, and she is dedicating extra training time to refine this aspect of her game. Her drive for continuous improvement reflects her passion for volleyball and her desire to grow as a player.
Looking ahead to her college experience, Liene is eager to not only develop her skills on the court but also to focus on life experiences and building lifelong friendships. She values the personal growth that comes with being part of a team and is excited to embrace new challenges in both volleyball and life.
Liene is currently enrolled in the last year of high school, in the VWO level, the highest level of high school in the Netherlands. She is planning to graduate in June 2025 and is interested in majoring in journalism or something related.
