As a tennis player, Thijmen is mentally very strong. He remains calm and composed during stressful moments in a match, allowing him to outplay his opponents at crucial points. Thijmen never shies away from a challenge and is highly motivated to keep improving. He enjoys helping his teammates as well, as he loves playing in team competitions in the Netherlands.

In America, Thijmen aims to enhance his tennis skills, especially his backhand. His forehand allows him to dictate rallies, but his backhand can be inconsistent at times. His goal is to develop a more reliable backhand and become a more consistent player overall.

In recent years, Thijmen has achieved significant success, winning several major local tournaments in both singles and doubles. He is looking for a college tennis team where he can start in the lineup immediately, as he plans to spend only one year in America for his master’s degree and won’t have much time to work his way into the team.

Thijmen graduated from Cygnus Gymnasium, the highest level of secondary education in the Netherlands, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. He is seeking a master’s program in economics or finance.
