Sports: Men’s Tennis
Entry semester: Fall 2023
Floyd, 16 yeard old, lives in Geertruidenberg and has been playing tennis almost all his life. Floyd has been playing tennis since he was 8 because he had the chance to try tennis at school. From the age of 10 he has taken tennis a lot more seriously and since 2021 he has been playing it almost full-time. Even after his training sessions, Floyd is busy with his sport, for example by being very conscious about his diet.
Floyd is a really cheerful and sociable person and people describe him as a person they quickly feel comfortable with. What makes Floyd even more special is that he grew up with two different cultures. His mother is Chinese and his father is Dutch, so he was raised bilingually, so a nice surprise is that Floyd also speaks Chinese. In addition to tennis, our topper also had piano lessons for 6 years, he also had chess lessons for a long time and he has a Chinese diploma. So you could say a special person!
His physical strength and perseverance make him a strong tennis player, who excels in the long matches and he fights to the last point. In America Floyd hopes to find a combination of high level education and high level tennis to boost his own career.
