Sports: Field Hockey
Entry semester: Fall 2023
16-year-old Lisa has been playing field hockey in Barendrecht since she was four years old. Lisa can be found at her club, whole week long. She gives training and her sisters are also playing field hockey there fanatically. In recent years, Lisa has played for the first team, becoming champion twice in the Dutch sub-top category. When Lisa is not at the field hockey club, she can be found on the tennis court.
She is a very social person who makes friends easily. If they are going to do something she makes sure everything is well organized. Lisa has been a real go-getter since she was a child, which is why she now achieves many goals she sets for herself.
As a player Lisa is not selfish but sees opportunities to create nice attacks. If a player is in a better position than her, she will play the ball to her teammate. She is a fanatical player who likes to get into duels in the circle which leads her to many penalties in her advance. Lisa is eager to learn and wants to develop further in America. With the facilities they offer in America, she hopes to reach the absolute top.
Because of Lisa’s choice of study, she sports an additional four hours a week. Here she gets a broad education and practices sports from athletics to water polo. She is very much looking forward to the study she will do in America and hopes it will tie in with the one she is currently doing. Her dream is to eventually start her own business while continuing to play field hockey for as long as possible.
