Lucas is a talented Dutch swimmer who competes in short to long distances. Currently, he is in the 200,400,1500 meter freestyle and the 400 IM I swim above the top 8 ranking equivalent curve in the Netherlands (top 2 in the 200m freestyle LC. He has a great level of dedication and discipline, with a strong desire to continuously improve his performance in and out of the water. He is looking to join a college swimming program where he can continue his development and perform at the highest level possible.
Lucas has been swimming competitively since he was 8 years old during elementary school in the United States (Aquahawgs Arkansas, US). He competed in several state championships and has won multiple awards, including High point winner at the NWAA 2016 memorial classic. In 2017, he moved to Limerick, Ireland with his family and he was selected for the regional skills academy. In 2019, he moved to the Netherlands to continue his development. He has been swimming with PSV Eindhoven ever since.
During his career, he has performed at the highest levels in swimming. He has competed in national and international tournaments and meets. His biggest achievements are:
Dutch national championships: 1x gold, 2x silver, 5x bronze (participated in 12).
Brabants (dutch regional) championship: 7x gold, 6x silver, 7x bronze
Received the Eindhoven Sport Champion award in 2023.
Vienna International Swim Meet (2023): 1x gold, 1x silver, 1x bronze
Eindhoven Qualification Meet: 4th place in the junior final (200m freestyle) and swam a PB of 1.55.69
National Record Juniors under 17: 4x 50 meter free mixed relay (May, 2024)

His biggest goal during his time in the US is to get a qualification time for the NCAA Championships for both an individual event and relay. After his time in the US, he wants to qualify for the Olympic Games/world stage swimming.
He is looking for a college swimming program where he can reach those athletic goals and combine it with a study related to Computer Science, Business Management or Marketing. He will be graduating in the Summer of 2025 and is looking to go to the US in the Fall of 2025.
