Frouke Ludwig is a highly accomplished Dutch swimmer, representing DZ&PC, with multiple national titles across various distances. She won a bronze medal at the Dutch Senior National Championships in the 400m individual medley (long course). Frouke also participated at the European Youth festival in 2023 and has been selected for the national junior team in the past. She is looking to join a college swimming program where she can continue to excel both academically and athletically, with a specific interest in chemical engineering.
Frouke holds the national record for 14-year-olds in the 200m backstroke (short course) and consistently ranks among the top swimmers in the country. Competing between national and European levels, Frouke finished 13th at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in 2023. She is now aiming to qualify for the European Junior Championships. Frouke was previously selected for the national junior team, which provided opportunities for intensive training camps and development before returning to compete solely with her club. Her versatile skill set allows her to perform strongly across multiple strokes. Frouke has been a key player in relay events, often serving as the anchor and helping her team secure national junior records and multiple medals in both long and short course competitions.
She has shown great progression in her career so far. Her best season so far was the 2022-2023 season. She became a 4-time Dutch champion (200 backstroke, 200 medley, 200 butterfly, and 400 medley) and set 2 championship records (400 medley and 200 backstroke).

Her ability to lead relays and excel in individual events reflects her all-around talent and resilience. She is particularly strong in endurance events, where her strategic race pacing often leads her to overtake competitors in the second half of races. Frouke is also an outstanding student. She is highly disciplined both in the water and in the classroom, as reflected by her 3.97 GPA. She skipped a grade to receive education more suited to her level. She will be taking the SAT in December 2024. With a strong interest in chemical engineering, she aims to pursue a degree in this field during her further studies.
Looking ahead, Frouke aims to qualify for the European Junior Championships and further her swimming career at the collegiate level in the United States or in England. She hopes to balance elite competition with her studies in chemical engineering. She is looking forward to making further strides both in the pool and in the classroom.
