Summer all year round, palm trees, unlimited new tennis shoes and become the number 1 in the country in Division 2? Yes, it is possible! We are talking about Slamtox student athlete Willem van den Akker. He is a senior at Saint Leo University and seems to have it all done just fine!
After he has obtained his VWO diploma and has made it to the quarter finals at the Dutch Championships under 18, he leaves for America. Willem continues his athletic and academic career at Saint Leo University in Florida. After successful years both on and off the track, he became the team captain of the tennis team, leading his team to several victories.
