The 17-year-old Niek comes from Annen and has been playing tennis for 13 years. Niek comes from a true tennis family and has also practiced many different sports outside of tennis. However, he has left these behind to fully focus on tennis.
Niek is an honest, calm young man who is coachable and takes feedback to heart. Furthermore, due to his experience in various (team) sports, he is a true team player. In tennis, Niek has a very strong forehand and serve thanks to his height. Niek is a strong team player because of his willingness to learn, which he strongly imparts to his teammates.
In America, Niek wants to further develop himself and push his boundaries. He also believes that America has a lot to offer him due to the combination of high-level sports and a good education. Through this experience, he wants to make the most out of his tennis career later on and stay involved in the tennis world.
