Wendy Tijmstra is sixteen years old and comes from a small village called Koedijk in the Netherlands.

Wendy started with Track & Field when she was 8 years old. She quickly discovered that sprinting is her favorite event, but she also enjoys long jump and hurdles.

What makes Wendy special as a person is that she will never give up, even when things get tough. She always listens carefully to the feedback she receives, knowing that it will make her better both as a person and as an athlete.

What makes Wendy special as an athlete is that she loves competing in individual events, but she also excels at working together in team competitions. Wendy believes it is important to be part of a fun team, as she performs better when she is happy.

Wendy’s biggest goal is to compete in a world championship, but the most important thing for her is to continue enjoying the sport and staying healthy.
