A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming Joann Leijten to our office. Joann began playing tennis at the age of six because all her friends were playing the sport as well. However, when her friends stopped, Joann continued and has since achieved considerable success. She has been training for some time now at the Amjoy Tennis Academy.
Joann Leijten had numerous options in the United States due to her tennis talents, with several top universities showing interest in her. However, it was important for Joann that the university was a good fit not only for tennis but also off the court. Her search continued for the right tennis team and academic program until she found the perfect match at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). At SCAD, Joann will be pursuing a degree in film and television, bringing her one step closer to her dream of working in the film industry. The combination of a strong tennis program and a top-tier education in her chosen field made SCAD the ideal choice for her.
In our interview, Joann Leijten shares her excitement about this opportunity and her interests in the film industry. She explains how finding the perfect university was crucial for her, not just for her tennis career but also academically. SCAD offers the ideal combination, allowing her to pursue a degree in film and television while continuing to excel in tennis. Curious to learn more about Joann’s journey and her future aspirations?
