Living the dream! Slamstox tennis player Willem van den Akker is leaving for Florida tomorrow to continue his studies and his tennis career at Saint Leo University!
A nice reward for his hard work in recent times; after finishing his high school, Willem started training hard and found a job to cover his tennis costs himself. At night Willem went to work cleaning trucks and airplanes, during the day he was on the tennis court to further develop his game and his physique.
Character and hard work; Coach Chad Berryhill was also impressed by that. That fits in with the American sports and college tennis culture and we are convinced that Willem will make many more steps, both on and off the court. The Saint Leo University Lions were ranked # 1 in their division last year, so Willem is in for a treat. The first match is scheduled for February 5, but Willem is ready for it.
