An international talent from the Netherlands
Although Jeanine Brandsma is from the Netherlands, she has lived with her family in France for quite some time. She started playing basketball at age 10 and her talent did not go unnoticed. She played on France’s second national selection team, where she further developed her skills. Jeanine always had great ambitions to play at the highest level, and she got that chance through Slamstox.
Travel to the USA and college basketball
Slamstox guided Jeanine in finding a suitable university and arranged the extensive paperwork from both the Netherlands and France to complete her NCAA approval. After contacting nearly 40 universities, all of which were interested in Jeanine through Slamstox’s network, she chose a full scholarship at Long Island University. A wonderful opportunity to play basketball and study at the NCAA level.
A transfer to a higher level
After a successful year at Long Island University, Jeanine decided to transfer to the higher ranked team at Austin Peay State University. Here she could further develop as a player and take the step to an even higher level. Slamstox was once again on hand to make the process go smoothly.
Basketball and studies hand in hand
In America, Jeanine can not only play top level basketball, but also complete her studies. In doing so, she is not only building an athletic, but also an academic future. She ensures that she is prepared for a successful future on both fronts.
